Obituary of William Dunleavy
William D. Dunleavy, 68, of Oberlin, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 in M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was a retired Security Officer on Three Mile Island, A peacetime Veteran in the US Air Force, an avid race fan, loved to race and was a member of the Hunterstown Racing Club.
William was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Dunleavy and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Schultz Dunleavy; his children, Kenneth (Elizabeth), Harrisburg, Nichole Boyer, Orwigsburg, William (Marie) Dunleavy Jr., Auburn, Justin (April) Dunleavy, Oberlin, Billy Jo (Zachary) Whittaker, New Cumberland and Bobby Jo (Randy) Woodward, Red Land. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen Spieles, Frackville, numerous cousins, two nephews, his beloved dog Solo and former dogs, Briggs, Bella and Bear .
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31 at 11:00 am in Neidig Memorial United Methodist Church, 1251 Highland St., Oberlin. Viewins will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin is handling arrangements. Current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines for the Commonwealth of PA will be enforced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dunleavy family to help with medical bills, 1016 Penn St. Oberlin PA 17113.
