Obituary for Susan Hatfield (Szuch)
Susan E. Crowley Hatfield, 81, of Mechanicsburg, died Friday, October 28, 2022 in UPMC West Shore Hospital, Hampden Twp.
She was a graduate of Leechburg High School Class of 1959, a Hair Stylist for Continental Hair Stylists, and more recently, the retired owner and operator of Susan Crowley Beauty Shop for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church, Susquehanna Twp. and the Harrisburg Bridge Club. Susan was an avid golfer, bridge player, and most of all, spending time with her family.
She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ethel Laslow Szuch, and the widow of Daniel J. Crowley and John G. Hatfield. Susan is survived by daughter, Beth Hirsch and husband, Joe of Harrisburg; son, Chris Crowley of Mechanicsburg; sister, Charlotte Szuch of Mechanicsburg; brother, Paul Szuch and wife, Susan of Elizabethtown; grandson, Steven Cardone and his significant other, Brittany of New Cumberland; three great granddaughters, Arianna, Kayla, and Aubree.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Leo Goodman, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Hospice of Central PA, 1301 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
