Obituary for Ruth Imbrognio (Dormer)
Ruth E. Dormer Imbrognio, 93, of Susquehanna Twp. died Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Encompass Health - Mechanicsburg.
She was a retired librarian for the Dauphin County Library System, a graduate of Steelton High School class of 1947, a member of the former St Ann''s Roman Catholic Church, Steelton and member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Twp., and was a member of the Guys and Dolls Club. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and gardening. Her true joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth was the daughter of the late Henry and Julianna Pauker Dormer, the widow of Joseph A. Imbrognio Sr. to whom she was married to for 57 1/2 years and is survived by three sons, Joseph A. Imbrognio Jr. (Sheila), Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey A. Imbrognio (Rosanna), Middletown and James S. Imbrognio (Tonya), Hummelstown; one daughter, Susan E. Dobak (Jeffrey), York; 4 grandchildren, Scott Dobak (Ashley), Megan Johnson (Kevin), Jenna Debeljak (Marjan) and Chandler Imbrognio; 4 great-grandchildren, Caden Johnson, Luca Johnson, Lucija Debeljak and Palmer Dobak and one brother, David Dormer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:30 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St. Harrisburg. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the church. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin is handling arrangements.
