Obituary of Michael Ivanoff
Michael Ivanoff, of Camp Hill, passed away at home on December 9, 2020, one day shy of his 59th wedding anniversary. He was 88 years old.

Michael was born in 1932 to Asen and Rosa Ivanoff, who were Bulgarian immigrants. Michael was very proud of his Bulgarian heritage and loved traveling to Bulgaria and Serbia to visit his extended family. He was a graduate of John Harris High School and Elizabethtown College. He worked as a federal bank examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency and subsequently for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Banking. He retired in March, 2000. He enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader, especially of American and European history.

He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Loretta Georganakis, his two daughters and sons-in law: Christine and David Edwards of Hoboken, NJ and Andrea and Steven Worley of Mechanicsburg; his adorable grand-dog, Baby Leme Worley; his cousins; Kristina von Hahnke of Palatine, IL, Nadya Velinova of Sofia, Bulgaria and Tanja and Filip Joksimovic of Zemun, Serbia and his goddaughter, Sonja Evanov of Enola. He was predeceased by his sister, Rose Evanoff.

He was an Orthodox Christian and attended the former Holy Annunciation Macedonian-Bulgarian Church, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 12 Noon in Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, Lower Paxton Twp. with Rev. Stephen Vernak, his Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Tikhon's Cemetery, Waymart, PA. A viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 am until 12 Noon in his church. Current Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines for the Commonwealth of PA will be enforced. Face masks and social distancing will be required. The family will hold a Memorial Service in 2021 once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and it is safe to do so. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home & /Cremation Services, Oberlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, 5501 Old Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109 or the Cleve J. Fredericksen Library, 100 N. 19th St., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
