Obituary for Ljuban Kosovac
Ljuban " Lou" Kosovac, 68, of York Haven, died Friday, April 14, 2023 in his home.
He was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School Class of 1973 and worked for 35 years as a truck driver for Ransome Lift, where he retired in 2004. Following that he worked for 10 years in the Produce Department of Karn''s Grocery Store, West Shore Plaza, where he retired in 2014. In his spare time he played soccer with the Harrisburg Soccer Club for over 15 years. As a child in Yugoslavia, he raised pigeons and continued that passion raising pigeons and Serbian pigeons until his death. Lou was an avid pool player, loved classic cars, owning several over the years and loved to swim with his grandchildren.
He was the only son of the late Pero Kosovac and Milka (Lemajic) Kosovac. Lou is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy E. Kauffman Kosovac; one son, Shay M. Kosovac, Mechanicsburg; daughter, Michelle R. Urban, Etters; grandchildren, Katelyn L. Kosovac, Camden S. Kosovac, Aydriana E. Urban, and Aydan S. Urban all of Etters; daughter-in-law, Wendy and son-in-law, Scott, both of Etters; two sisters-in-law, Diana M. Fetrow, Rehoboth, DE and Connie L. Simpson, Dillsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin with Rev. Christopher S. Rocknage, Officiating. Burial at the conclusion of services will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in the Church. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
