Obituary for Joseph Babich
Joseph Babich, 91 of Chambers Hill, died March 22, 2023 in his home.
He was a retired Cabinet Maker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - State Capitol; member of the former St. Mary''s Roman Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton; Prince of Peace Knights of Columbus Council 3625 and St. Lawrence Croatian Fraternal Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katarina Mlinac Babich and his daughter Franceska A. Deimler; 2 brothers, Ivan and Toma and two sisters, Francika and Dragica. He is survived by his son, Ivan Babich and wife Melonie; one daughter, Maria DeTemple and husband Mike; six grandchildren, Marko and wife Melissa, Kristina Babich-Aldridge and husband Aaron, Mathew Babich and wife Erin, Michael DeTemple and wife Emily, Angela Deimler and Anthony Deimler; three great-grandchildren, Justyce Deimler, Liliana Deimler and Mia Babich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace - Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Township. A viewing will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg Street, Oberlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 South Harrisburg Street, Steelton, PA 17113.
