Obituary for Joan Bogovic (Sherin)
Joan J. Sherin Bogovic, 93, of Middletown and formerly of Steelton, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in her son''s home in Mt. Joy.
She was a retired Sales Clerk for Harrisburg Office Furniture and Babies R Us and was a seamstress for the former Deborah Dress Factory. Joan was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 50+ Club and the National Council of Catholic Women.
Joan was the widow of Stephen J. Bogovic, Sr., and is survived by three sons, Robert P. Bogovic and wife Phyllis; Stephen J. Bogovic, Jr. and wife Gudrun and Brian L. Bogovic and wife Dara; grandchildren Stephen Bogovic, III, Katie Borelli and husband Daniel, Caliann Gallagher and husband Brendan; Brian Bogovic, Jr. and Madilyn Bogovic; great-grandchildren, Sadi and Sawyer Borrelli, Anna and Maren Gallagher, Stephen Bogovic IV and Shaun Bogovic. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert, Joseph and Thomas Sherin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace - Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Church. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 South Second Street, Steelton, PA 17113.
