Obituary for Jean Silvester (Cunjak)
Jean A. Cunjak Silvester, 92, of Country Meadows West Shore and formerly of Mechanicsburg, died Monday, December 12, 2022 in Country Meadows.
She was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School Class of 1948 and Seton Hill College, Greensburg, PA Class of 1952. She was a retired Teacher in St. Peter's Parochial School in Steelton for over 25 years and a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Jean was the daughter of the late Dr. Franklin J. Cunjak and Charlotte Hatcherson Cunjak and the widow of Vincent J. Silvester. She is survived by three sons, John Silvester and wife, Robin of St. Johns, FL, Scott David Silvester and wife, Maria of Bensalem, and Daniel Silvester of Hazlet, NJ; one daughter, Kim S. Mockus and husband, Put of Chalfont; two brothers, James Cunjak of West Palm Beach, FL and Jack Cunjak of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Christine, Michelle, Christopher, Jamie and Sara; seven great grandchildren, Harley, Lorenzo, Maverick, Archer, Faith Lynn, Scottie, and Maisie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 400 East Simpson St., Mechanicsburg with Rev. Thomas J. Rozman, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oberlin.
