Obituary for Dominick Costanza

Dominick Joseph Costanza, 88, of Oberlin, died Thursday, March 9, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was an Electrician for the Brotherhood of International Electrical Workers and was the owner of Costanza Electric, as well as a Fire Extinguisher Company. Dominick proudly served his community as a Swatara Township Commissioner for 24 years from 1972 - 1996. He served as the Emergency Management Director for Swatara Township for 24 years and was a member of Chambers Hill Fire Company 91-3, member of American Legion Post 998 - Lawnton and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Dominick''s favorite life memories were hunting with his family near Raystown Lake. He loved going out to eat and flirting with the waitresses. He also loved golfing with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Costanza and Pauline Termini, his brother, Vincent Costanzo and sisters, Sarah Knapp and Anna Weltmer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy K. Webster Costanza; son, David Costanza and wife Dorothy, Chambers Hill; daughter Deborah Costanza Miller, Hummelstown; step-children, Christiana R. Lester and husband Curtis V., Floyd, VA, Patricia L. Potts, Covington, VA and Cathryn J. Layton, Hummelstown; three grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church,4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with Rev. James E. Lease, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 11:00AM with Military Honors. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am - 10:45 am in the church. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
