Obituary for Cary Rose

Obituary of Cary Lee Rose
On Thursday December 17, 2020, Cary Lee Rose of Dauphin, PA was paged for his final fire call at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Cary was born on July 8, 1971 in Harrisburg, PA. He graduated in 1990 from Dauphin County Technical School with a degree in Auto Mechanics. He continued his career in Auto Mechanics up until his diagnosis and battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Cary joined the Dauphin Middle Paxton Fire Company as a volunteer firefighter at the age of 16. He held the offices of Lieutenant, Captain, and 3rd Assistant Chief through his many years as a firefighter. Cary was an EMT for 23 years at Station 12, Dauphin PA. In addition, Cary enjoyed camping, hunting, guns, cars and spending time with his family. Cary was passionate about riding for MDA Ride For Life every year for over 20 years. He wanted to see the smiles on the kids faces when they got to ride on a Harley in the parade with him and many other riders. Cary also affectionately known as "Rosey", "Meat Head" or “Uncle Meat” by all the kids (no matter if they were related or not) loved to take time out to be a big kid himself by playing games, riding four wheelers, doing crafts such as leather working and just having fun. Cary always had a joke to tell, a meme to post on social media and usually he was making fun of himself to make others laugh and smile. Even during his last days with his family he was still the jokester. If there were any tears to be shed Cary would have rather it be tears from laughter than tears of pain or sorrow.

Cary leaves behind by his loving wife and best friend Brandy Rose, his parents Emanuel Jr "Manny" and Emma Rose, brothers Emanuel III "Manny" Rose wife Karen, Shawn Rose wife Carole, his son Neal Rose partner Andrew, his step-children Samantha Campbell, Logan Campbell girlfriend Courtney and Evan Campbell, his grandson Jordan Campbell, his nine nieces and one nephew and many other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
