Barry Edward Shatto, 78, of Middletown, PA. died Saturday November 5, 2022 in his home. He was the son of the late Marvin Shatto and Loretta (Poorman) Shatto.

Barry retired after 31 years from the United States Postal Service in Harrisburg, PA. He was a postal worker, mail handler and maintenance worker retiring from the Swatara Post Office on Derry Street in Harrisburg, PA. He was also in the US Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School, Class of 1964, a member of the American Legion Post 998 of Lawnton. He loved fishing, growing roses, watching Penn State Football and spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rica D. (Keller) Shatto; a daughter, Tammy L. Shatto-Thomas, wife of Scott M. Thomas of Middletown; four granddaughters, Angelina M. Spagnolo and Fiance' Kyle Carpenter of Elizabethtown, Abrielle C. Spagnolo and her companion Hunter Pierce of Elizabethtown, Annalise D. Spagnolo and her companion Ivan Henderson of Highspire, and Lauren S. Thomas of Middletown; brother, Michael Shatto of Mechanicsburg; and sister, Carol Ann Ney of PA. Barry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph Shatto.
