I met Art twelve years ago when I joined our church choir, so I did not have the pleasure of knowing him for as long as so many others. He was in the bass section, as was I, and I will always remember that his friendliness and ready smile helped make this new guy feel comfortable. Art was a truly kind and self-effacing man, and he will be missed by many. I extend my deepest condolences to his family.
