Obituary for Alfred Carricato

Alfred L. Carricato, 94, of Steelton, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 in his home.

He was a retired Crane Operator for Bethlehem Steel Corp., a US Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish and a life member of VFW Post 710 and the Steelton Italian Club; and a member of American Legion Post 420 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #382.

Alfred was the son of the late John and Mary Belmont Carricato and widower of Ruth M. Weyant Carricato. He is survived by one son, Bryan L. Carricato of Harrisburg; two daughters, Deborah Clementoni of Harrisburg and Mary Carricato of Steelton; two step daughters, Naomi Westbrook of Steelton and Carol Wolfe of Ickesburg; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He was preceded in death of a grandson, James Shetron and Baby Carricato; one son, Baby Boy Carricato; and brothers, Charles and Robert Carricato; and sister, Fortuna Sinadinos.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, his Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9;30 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 SOUTH HARRISBURG ST., OBERLIN. Current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines will be enforced. Face masks and social distancing are required.
