Obituary for Albert Matjasic Jr.
Albert L. Matjasic, Jr., 79, of Enhaut, died Thursday, February 9, 2023 in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Co-Ordinator for IBM Corp. He was a lifetime member of Goodwill Fire Co., Enhaut, where he had served as Fire Chief, and a lifetime member of Swatara Township Station 91 and Steelton Fire Department.
Albert was the son of the late Albert L. Matjasic, Sr. and Marie Bawman Matjasic and the widower of Carol A. Alleman Matjasic. He is survived by daughter, Renee Renner and a grandson, Nicholas Renner, both of Enhaut and his loving friends, Trudie and Larry Seagrist. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Ann Peiffer and brother-in-law, Warren Peiffer, and grandson, Ethan Renner.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Paul Bartlett and George Raudensky eulogizing. Burial Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
